Our History
History
The company was born as MDC (Mollusks Depuration Center) to healthily guarantee bivalve-gastropod molluscs and echiloderms to the final customer after the sad event of 1974 (cholera of Naples) taht was worse than current pandemic for the fishing and trading .
The purification plant uses sea water taken in the open sea and in depth, has a flow rate of 30m3 per hour accumulated in a storage tank of about 90m3.
We got oxygen-treated wastewater purification tanks, while the residual sludge is systematically extracted by authorized companies
Procedure
here comes the sea water treated with ozone produced (25 or 35 g per hour) directly on site and always filtered with a flow rate of 30 cubic meters per hour
In these hours, between 4000 and 5000 general colibacteria are eliminated in the tank. These assessments result by laboratory checks that we systematically do before or after purification.
All bivalve molluscs, regardless of whether they come from areas of category A-B-C etc., are placed in the tank in punctured baskets with a lifting system and kept inside for at least 14/16 hours,

By this way we can guarantee vitality to the product from 5 to 6 days without losing weight, organoleptic characteristics, flavor-producing and above all without bacterial load.
